Research on novel comparibilizer, Evalution of interfacial adhesiveness

Explanation of the research

Since polypropylene does not have a polar group in the molecule, it has poor adhesion to fibers. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the interfacial adhesiveness between resin and fiber with a compatibilizer when compounding with fiber. We used the iPP-PAA copolymer as a novel compatibilizer as a composer with higher functionality than conventional compatibilizers. The interfacial adhesiveness is evaluated by the microdroplet test, and the mechanical properties are evaluated by the measurement such as the tensile test.
